The 2018 Color of The Year Home Tips
If you have not heard already, Pantone’s 2018 color of the year is a bold and beautiful purple. The hue, Ultra Violet 18-3838, is a "dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade" and "communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future".
This year’s color is much different than last year’s hue of green. Each color of the year encompasses "what's needed in our world today," said Pantone Color Institute's vice president, Laurie Pressman.

How to Incorporate the 2018 Color of the Year
Pantone’s color of the year is a bold choice and may scare away some designers and homeowners. If you love this color but are not sure how to incorporate it into your home, consider these tips.
1. Start with small spaces. This color does not need to be in a big room to make a big statement. Whether you use it as an accent wall in a bathroom, throw a few pillows on the couch in your living room, or perhaps paint a pop of color in your closet, the possibilities for this color are endless. Starting small with this color can go a long way.
2. Keep your exterior clean. You can use this color by brightening up your patio with potters and plants. Carnations, irises, lavender, and dahlias can all come in this shade of ultraviolet purple.
